Project Management can be difficult. Most project management tools today utilize the concept of milestones to manage activities. These milestone are not process aligned.
Ingenuus process aligns project milestones. Activities can then be arranged under milestones. Activities, often etirely separate processes, can be linked to each milestone creating a complex, but flexible project management tool.
The project process shown above only covers the major components of a project, the items a project manager must keep track of to make sure the project is on track. Activities for each milestone are in sub-processes which are linked to the activities listed at each milestone. Progress can be monitored at a high level.
Managing projects in this way are a unique departure from standard tools such as Microsoft Project. But the benefits of having a clear high level process managing and tracking all the sub processes, alerting project managers when a subprocess item is late, provide a compelling reason to change the way you manage processes.
